Meditation on Long Island - Dipamkara Meditation Center
Temple Project News

Dear Friends,

For over one year we have been enjoying the new building that we are planning to transform into the future Temple.

Currently, our meditation room is a warm and sacred space that can accommodate approximately one-hundred people.  We have expanded and beautified the bookstore, as well as established a residential community, with three residents living at the Center.

We are planning to transform our current building into a beautiful Kadampa Buddhist Temple for World Peace. We hope that this Temple will be a source of peace and inspiration for thousands of people throughout Long Island, helping them to find inner peace, develop happy minds and live a meaningful life by relying upon Buddha’s teachings.

In the upcoming year, we look forward to creating a small and simple café in the bookstore area that will attract people from the larger community as well as provide an enjoyable and inviting space in which students can relax after classes and pujas.

We are also planning on cleaning and renovating the façade of the building as well as expanding the size of the current meditation room so that it can accommodate over two-hundred people.

Thank you for your interest in this sacred project.

Your friends at DMC….

A Vision for Inner Peace

Here
Midst the clutter and clatter,
Confusion and din
A Temple arises
Serene oasis of sanity
Key to peace
